Doctors
Glenn Goldstein, M.D.

Dr. Glenn Goldstein, a Board Certified Dermatologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, is the Director of the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in Leawood, Kansas. Dr. Goldstein has been in practice in Kansas City for over 28 years. His training in internal medicine and dermatology was at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He subsequently completed his Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Dr. Goldstein is a board certified fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. His practice is distinguished by being one of the few certified training sites for Mohs Surgery in the country.

Dr. Goldstein is the past president of the American Cancer Society and the Kansas City Dermatologic Society. He is currently Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the KU Medical Center. He is the author of over 40 medical publications.


Shawn Sabin, M.D.

Dr. Shawn Sabin, a Board Certified Dermatologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology,  is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Medicine.  She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery and a member of the Kansas City Dermatological Society.   She did her internship at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona and her dermatology residency at the University of Iowa.

After running a solo dermatology practice in Dubuque, Iowa for six years, she joined Dr. Goldstein in 1998. She completed her Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship in Kansas City, Missouri.

She is the past president of Kansas Dermatological Society.    Dr. Sabin has a full-time Mohs surgery practice in the Lee’s Summit and Leawood locations.


Karen Neubauer, D.O.

Dr. Karen Neubauer, a Board Certified Dermatologist,  earned her medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.  She received training in Internal Medicine and completed her residency in Dermatology at Deaconess Medical Center in West  St. Louis, Missouri.  She completed her Mohs fellowship in Kansas City in July 2008.  Dr. Neubauer specializes in general and cosmetic dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery.  She also performs laser surgery.

Dr. Neubauer is a diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, the Kansas City Dermatologic Society and the American College of Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Neubauer has a full-time practice in Leawood, Kansas.


Mark Fleischman, M.D.

Dr. Mark Fleischman, a Board Certified Dermatologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in 2000.   He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Creighton University and dermatology residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.  Culminating his training, he completed a fellowship in dermatological surgery in Kansas City.

Dr. Fleischman  is a  Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.  He has earned numerous scholarships, awards and honors including Alpha Omega Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa.  Each year, since 2010, Dr. Fleischman has been named by his peers to Super Doctors of Kansas City.  He is a past president and current member of the Kansas City Dermatological Society.

Dr. Fleischman specializes in skin cancer treatment and diagnosis, Mohs Micrographic Surgery and facial reconstruction.  He practices in our Leawood, Lee’s Summit and Belton offices.

 


Celeste Angel, D.O.

Dr. Celeste A. Angel, a Board Certified Dermatologist and Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology, earned her medical degree at the now Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.  She received training in Internal Medicine and then completed her Dermatology residency in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she also served as Chief Resident in Dermatology and was honored with the award for “Most Compassionate Resident Physician”.

Dr. Angel is a member of several dermatology organizations, has published research articles in leading dermatology journals and has presented at various national scientific meetings.

Dr. Angel is trained in general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery and practices full-time in the Leawood office.


Sheldon Sebastian, M.D.

Dr. Sheldon Sebastian, a Board Certified Dermatologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, earned his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 2005. After completing an internship in internal medicine, he was trained in dermatology at the University of New Mexico Department of Dermatology where he served as Chief Resident in 2008-2009. He is trained in general dermatology, dermatologic surgery and laser surgery.

Dr. Sebastian has special interests in cutaneous oncology, treatment of skin cancer and facial reconstruction. He has completed  a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery under the direction of Dr. Glenn Goldstein. This fellowship was approved by the American College of Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Sebastian has published several articles in leading dermatology journals and has presented at multiple regional, national and international meetings. He is currently a fellow member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Sebastian specializes in skin cancer and Mohs Micrographic Surgery in Lee ’s Summit.


Colin Ruff, M.D.

Dr. Colin Ruff, a Board Certified Dermatologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, is a graduate of the University of Kansas and the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree, graduating first in his class.  Dr. Ruff completed his internship at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. He completed his Dermatology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Ruff has many honors and awards including a perfect GPA in both his undergraduate and graduate studies.  He has published several research articles in leading Dermatology journals and has presented at multiple meetings.

Dr. Ruff is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society.

Dr. Ruff practices General Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery in our Leawood and Lee’s Summit offices.

 

 

 

 


Rita Fisler, M.D.

Dr. Rita Fisler, a Board Certified dermatologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, is a graduate of Harvard Medical School where she earned her medical degree.  After an internship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, she completed her Dermatology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Fisler is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, the Kansas City Dermatologic Society, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.  She has won numerous awards during her undergraduate and post graduate training.  She has published several articles in leading dermatology journals and has presented at multiple meetings.

Dr. Fisler practiced for 6 years in the Kansas City area prior to joining Dermatology & Skin Cancer Centers.  Her areas of interest include general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, pediatric dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology services.  She will be seeing patients in our Leawood  location.


Jeffery J. Graves, M.D.

 

Dr. Jeffery J Graves is double board certified in both Dermatology and Dermatopathology and is the Director of the Dermatopathology Laboratory at the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center. Dr. Graves is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and is a graduate with distinction of the University of Kansas and The University of Kansas School of Medicine.  He did his internship at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas and his residency in dermatology at The University of Missouri, Columbia.  He completed his fellowship in dermatopathology at The Geisinger Health System in Danville, Pennsylvania.  Dr. Graves is the co-author of numerous professional articles and abstracts.  He has completed research projects and given several professional presentations at national meetings. He is a member of The American Academy of Dermatology, The American Society of Dermatopathology, The American Medical Association and The Kansas City Dermatological Society. He has many honors and awards. Dr. Graves will be practicing both dermatopathology and clinical dermatology in Leawood, Kansas.

 


Daniel P. Bortnick, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Bortnick is a Kansas City native.  He attended Pembroke County Day School, followed by a combined BA-MD degree at The University of Missouri-Kansas City.  He then completed a five year General Study Residency at The University of Kansas, which included a one year post doctoral fellowship in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology; followed by a two year Plastic Surgery Residency at The University of Georgia Medical College in Augusta, Georgia.

Dr. Bortnick was the founding partner of Monarch Plastic Surgery, which was founded in 1995.  His principal practice concentrates on cosmetic and aesthetic surgery of the face and body.  He has developed a reputation as a local and regional expert in body contouring and cosmetic nasal surgery.  He serves as the Residency Coordinator for cosmetic plastic surgery at The University of Kansas Medical Center.

He is board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery.  He currently serves as a committee member of the Plastic Surgery Education Foundation/ ASPS as well as a committee member for The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.  He is a fellow of The American  College of Surgeons, and a member of The Lipoplasty Society of North America.

Chris Rouse, M.D.

Dr. Chris Rouse, a Board Certified Dermatologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University in 2004. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine and dermatology residency also at Saint Louis University. He is very active in the Kansas City Dermatological Society serving as secretary/treasurer last year and President-Elect this year. Dr. Rouse specializes in medical dermatology care and especially enjoys the treatment of chronic skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis due to his personal afflictions with skin disease. He was born and raised in the Kansas City Northland, and is committed to the care of his community. He practices in our new Excelsior Springs and Platte City offices.


David R. Fieleke, M.D.

Dr. David Fieleke, a Board Certified Dermatologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri in 2007. He completed his internship and dermatology residency at the University of Missouri. He has participated in many research projects and has co-authored several dermatology articles. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Kansas City Dermatological Society, and is on the Board of Directors of the Missouri Dermatological Society.
Dr. Fieleke has special interests in cutaneous oncology, treatment of skin cancer and facial reconstruction. He has completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery under the direction of Dr. Glenn Goldstein.  In addition to practicing general dermatology, Dr. Fieleke specializes in skin cancer and Mohs Micrographic Surgery in Lee’s Summit.


Ross B. Reule, M.D.

Dr. Ross Reule, a Board Certified Dermatologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine.  He completed an internship in internal medicine and dermatology residency at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Missouri Dermatological Society, and has co-authored several medical articles.

Dr. Reule has clinical interests in adult and pediatric medical dermatology, skin cancer detection, and dermatologic surgery.  He will be seeing patients in the Kansas City North and Liberty locations

 


Lee Bittenbender, M.D.

Dr. Lee Bittenbender, a board certified dermatologist and diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Kansas and his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.  He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and a member of the Kansas City Dermatological Society.  He did his internship at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita and his dermatology residency at the University of Iowa.  He is past president of the Kansas City Dermatological  Society and the Kansas Dermatological Society.

After operating a solo dermatology practice in Lawrence since 1976 he joined Dermatology and Skin Cancer Specialists in 2013.  Dr. Bittenbender specializes in general and cosmetic dermatology and has a full-time practice in Lawrence.


Julie S. Green, M.D., PhD

Dr. Julie Green is a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Medicine, where she received her PhD in Pharmacology and Physiology in 2008 and her MD in 2010.  After completing her internship at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, she received her dermatology training at the University of Colorado, Denver, where she served as Chief Resident from 2013-2014.  Her interests include general and complex medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology and dermatologic surgery.

Dr. Green is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, Phi Beta Kappa Academic Honor Society, and Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society.  She has published multiple original research articles in both dermatology and physiology.    Dr. Green will be joining the staff in Lee’s Summit in August 2014.  She will  see general dermatology patients  and do simple excisions.

Jeffery Graves, M.D.

Kelli Wyatt (HT)

Kelli Wyatt  is a certified histotechnologist by the National Society of Clinical Pathology and a graduate of the University of Indian-Purdue histology program. Kelli has a Bachelor of Science degree from DeVry University in Technical Management, and attended Central Missouri State University.  Kelli has been in practice since 1997, in the histologial fields of cytology, surgical pathology, and Moh’s surgery. Kelli has been with Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center for the past thirteen years.
She co-manages the histology lab for the dermatology practice and supervises other technicians processing Moh’s and skin biopsies.
She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, National Histology Society and the Missouri Society of Histotechnology.


PHYSICIAN'S ASSISTANTS
Angela Bosch, MPAS, PA-C

Angela Bosch earned her physician assistant degree from Wichita State University and became board certified in 2001. She obtained her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska in 2002.

Prior to joining Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in 2004, Angela practiced pediatric dermatology. Angela now specializes in general and some cosmetic dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants.


Angela Rogers MPAS, PA-C

Angela Rogers graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth Cum Laude and completed her  Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in 2008. She was board certified in 2008.

Angie  joined Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in September 2010, specializing in general dermatology.  Prior to joining Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center, she practiced general  and cosmetic dermatology in Minnesota. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is also certified as a Stott Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer,  and  Group Fitness Instructor.


Sileen Dowis, PA-C

Welcome Physician Assistant Sileen Dowis.  Sileen will begin seeing patients March 31, 2014 in the Lee’s Summit office.

Sileen Dowis, a Board Certified Physician Assistant, graduated from Northwest Missouri State University, Cum Laude and completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Wichita State University in 2012. 

Sileen has been practicing in Dermatology since August 2012, specializing in general dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Pi Alpha, Physician Assistant National Honor Society.

Tamera Wolf, ARNP, DCNP

Tamera Wolf earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Family Nurse Practitioner in 2000.   Prior to that she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Wichita State University in 1998. Tamera is board certified in Dermatolgy and Family Practice.

Tamera joined the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in May 2009, specializing in general dermatology.  Prior to joining the Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center, she practiced general and cosmetic dermatology in Wichita, Kansas for five years.  She is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association and the Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Society.


NURSES
MANAGERS
Jenni Smith, MBA Practice Administrator

Jenni Smith received her MBA in Health Care Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Jenni is the Practice Administrator for Dermatology and Skin Cancer Centers and Skin & Mohs Surgery Centers.  She joined the practice in 2001.  She has 20 years experience in the health care field. Jenni is responsible for all administration and business issues for the practice and surgery centers. She is also a member of the Greater Kansas City Medical Managers Association.


Jennifer Holman, RN Nurse Administrator

Jennifer Holman was appointed as Nurse Administrator for the Dermatology & Skin Cancer Specialists in August 2013.  Jennifer attended MidAmerica Nazarene University and graduated from the RN Program at Fayetteville Technical Community College in North Carolina.  Jennifer is licensed in both Kansas and Missouri as a Registered Nurse.

Prior to joining the practice in 2011, Jennifer specialized in Mohs surgery at a facility in Destin, Florida.  Jennifer directs a clinical staff of  65, consisting of RN’s, LPN’s, Medical Assistants, Surgical Technicians and Instrument Room Technicians.  Jennifer is responsible for the day to day clinical operations of the practice; including our two Ambulatory Surgery Centers in Leawood, Kansas and Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
